Thanks, alot, Praveen. It is exactly what I want to
do.

Hi,

vz.lib/vz.dll along with couple of other import libraries/DLLs are
installed directly with Volumizer installation.
However, vzAppsUtil.lib, vzLoaders.lib and couple of other libraries
(with sources present in VZROOT/src/lib) along with their DLLs are
created AFTER building the sample code provided with Volumizer.

There are two ways to build sample code :
1-  Clicking  (on XP)  start->all programs ->opengl volumizer->build
sample code
2 - OR, Go to directory VZROOT/src and run batch file BUILD.bat

VZROOT is Volumizer Installation Directory. In your case VZROOT =
e:\Program Files\Silicon Graphics\OpenGL Volumizer

After building the sample code all the import libraries go to VZROOT/lib
and all the corresponding DLLs go to VZROOT/bin.

The sample demo apps at runtime look for the DLLs present in VZROOT/bin
so this directory should be included in your PATH env variable
before running your application.

Hopefully you should be able to compile and run your application along
with other Volumizer sample demo applications now.

Hi Vaibhav,

I did what you said. Now build.bat gives below error and exits.
************************
......
PFROOT should be set for building Performer based library
PFROOT is set to e:\Program Files\Silicon Graphics\OpenGL Performer
'nmake' is not recognized as an internal or external command.
Press any key to continue...
************************
nmake.exe is under the E:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VC98\Bin.
In addition, isn't it possible to compile the sample program using VC98 user interface? Why do I need to use build.bat?

Volumizer uses Microsoft Visual C++ command line compiler CL.EXE through
nmake to compile its sample code present in
VZROOT/src directory. Currently it does not provide option to build the
sample code from inside IDE.

To use command line VC++ compiler on Windows, couple of environment
variables need to be set first by running VCVARS32.BAT found in
VISUAL_C++_INSTALLATION_DIR\bin directory.

Volumizer assumes that this VCVARS32.BAT has already been run (either
manually or during system start up) before
building the sample code by running VZROOT/src/BUILD.BAT.

Kindly make sure that you have already run VCVARS32.BAT before running
VZROOT/src/BUILD.BAT.

One way to compile sample code (libraries and demo apps) is to run
following commands on the command prompt :

VISUAL_C++_INSTALLATION_DIR\bin\VCVARS32.BAT  and then
VZROOT\src\BUILD.BAT

Let me know if you still have some issues.
